My virus scanner detects a virus in my "System Volume Information" or _RESTORE folder but won't clean or delete the infected file. What's up?
The System Restore feature introduced in Windows XP/ME has copied the virus into the restore archive. You'll need to turn off system restore to be able to clean inside that directory (or edit the NTFS permissions if you are feeling adventurous).
