ok guys, i have a laptop with guest and user accounts locked admin is open i want to find out the password for it, its in my possesion so i created a linux cross vlnlinus bootdisk to crack the password now im having no luck at all its changing the password now ive been told this could just be the machine password im changing help i really just dont understand

First thing we need to do is explain some grammar to you. Periods and commas are your friend. One big long jabbering sentence is not.

Now, what do you mean 'admin is open'? Can you log on as admin? if that's the case go into the control panel, click admin tools-->computer managment-->local users and groups-->users, and then right click admin and change the pass to whatever you like.

If you can't log in as admin then I have no idea what you are saying.
