You'll find it. | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 10 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 10 | k, yea i knew the whole properties way, but i cant seem to find what kind of motherboard and such. | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 1,273 DollarDNS Owner | DollarDNS Owner Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 1,273 | You should've gotten that kind of information in booklets with your computer. If not, then find information online (probably at your manufacturers site) about your computer brand and model. Or, you can contact the maker of your computer and ask them for any details you want. That's what I had to do for my Gateway computer which came with nothing in the way of jumper information and such. | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 815 nobody | nobody Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 815 | The only way to ID your mother board is to take your case apart. Then write down as many identifying #'s and characteristics as possible, such as number on the chips like your BIOS ID, any other important chip IDs, the number of peripheral slots like 3 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 ISA, and 3 EDO memory slots and any other info you can find printed on the board. Then either use search engines to find the manual or go here, these guys are good they've ID'ed every MB i brought to em in less then 15 minutes. http://www.motherboards.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=2 | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 Community Owner | Community Owner Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 | Most manufacturers proudly place their name all over the place... and generally there is a model number also... | | |
