I just installed linux on a machine already running Windows ME (cough),
heh, not often I get to correct you sci.... Allways read before you correct. He had winblows on first then install Linux. Check it out guy...
This is the easy quick way for me to help you
go into DOS in windows.
fdisk /mbr
this will wipe you Master boot record clean and cause you to boot up into windows.
Next slap you install disk 1 back into the cd ROM.
reboot. You should come into the install stuff again. It will take 30 min tops. Make sure this time you use LILO instead of grub. I have never gotten GRUB to work on Win ME.
What flavor of Linux are you using ie Mandrake, Redhat, slackware,? What version number ist it. And last how did you set up your partitions.
