I attempted to connect via mIRC. I was connecting to irc. UnderGroundNews.com. It refused my connection. Maybe I'm completely lame, maybe its my configuration. It does connect via 6667, right? I'm no IRC genius (apparently), but It normally works when I connect to other IRCs. What am I doing wrong.... | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 Community Owner | Community Owner Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 | heh your on aol, chances are thats whats wrong, you have to set aol to allow programs to connect to the internet. when you ahve all that set, go into mIRC and do: /server irc. What distro if I may? | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 67 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: May 2002 Posts: 67 | Well, I already have a distro of Mandrake 8.1 (2.4.8). However, I intend to put a partition of Slackware in there as well, because Mandrake isn't exactly tough [censored] (I mean, it's a nice lil' OS, and I have nothing against it.) I might download BSD instead..... or add it to my collective.
All I need now is my goddamned computer!!! Snail mail shipping takes too long...i wish I could just start setting it up and messing with it already!!!! ( Happy Birthday to Me) | | |
