We are working on getting Libertarians in the house and senate (at the moment there's only one, and he's running as a *republican*) There are more in state government, but we're working on it..

Now, I can assure you if a third party was elected president (or even local/state as there have been), they deal with democrats/republics and bring issues to the table and solutions that would not otherwise be raised. | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 384 Member | Member Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 384 | Yes Jon, but the problem is that the Republicrats will have the President over a barrel because they still wield the power in the Senate, House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court. They could easily scoff at the President's ideas, override his vetos (which they CAN do)... THe President won't have anyone backing him up. Looking at history we can see that the President's party usually (and I say usually) backed up his decisions and policies in congress. People in this country for the most part DO NOT vote by Canidate, they vote by party, many Republicans voted Bush because they didn't want a Democrat in office, not because they didn't like Gore or were swayed by Bush and his position on issues.
Maybe this is where Castro got it all right, he's the only world leader still in power after decades of defying and thumbing his nose at the US, and his people are actually happy, well those in Havana, but we still have more homeless and poor people, just ours have no where else to go.

Kerry is a big douchebag, but not as big of a douchebag as Bush. I'd vote 3rd party, but unfortunately in this election, a 3rd party vote is a vote for Bush. http://www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 Community Owner | Community Owner Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 7,203 Likes: 11 | Unreal, i see it the complete opposite way as you lol... | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 16 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 16 | Bush period end of discussion he is a genuinly good guy that just wants to do good + f 9/11 is a compleate scam be michel moore Because he is a dit | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 419 UGN Member | UGN Member Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 419 | I'm for Kerry simply for the fact that I fear four more years with the "W" also on a side note, why are gas and oil prices not being made an issue in this campaign?

I know that the Pres. can't force states to lower thier gas taxes but the federal gov't could be asked to lower thiers to offer the consumer some relief.

Charleton Heston has kicked the crap out of: Indians Romans Egyptians Future People Alternative Universe People Sentient Apes The British He's also leader of the NRA and to this day is still pretty Badass, Terrorists don't stand a chance.
As for Vice President Ken Jennings, we have the perfect running mate. It's obvious he knows everything there is to know in the world. He's won $1,976,300 on Jepardy and is still on the show. He's also a Mormon so he's definatly scandal free.
So please join me Nov 2nd in voting for the Media Party.... Heston/Jennings 2004!

I ask, only to see how much you actually know about the issues, and only drkmercinary may answer, how is F9/11 a complete scam? In your own words please and for the love of God use Spell Check, it's here for a reason. BTW Your school sucks, preppy snob Now Damn_Noob, we know that Mr. Heston has alzhimers but he's fought worse, Romans aren't pushovers. Besides that's why we have Mr Jennings as the VP, he'll run the show. And to all: Personally I'm a Kerry man, I voted for him for Massachusetts Senate and I'm voting for him on Nov 4th. He's got his act together and definatly has more of an idea about what's going on in the world then W. Kerry owned him during the debates. You know what is funny though. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE always says this during elections time, "we're better off with Canidate X because Canidate Y will run this country to hell". Maybe instead of worrying about the presidency lets look at our congress and what they're doing. Let us not forget that Congress makes all the Laws, the Pres just has Veto power and it can be overridden. Ofcourse we as Americans have failed miserably when it comes to being informed and knowing about the issues. We're all too busy following party line and rederict. Stop voting for canidates simply because of their party and vote for the canidate that will take a stand on the issues that are important to you.
