LONDON (Reuters) - Virtual reality world Second Life was born in the United States, but 61 percent of its active residents are Europeans, a study by research firm comScore said on Friday.

That's exciting. I gave it a try for a little while, but I cleared the software from my computer because I needed more space for music. It's interesting, you walk around as a self styled character and can buy things with their online money (which costs real money). I unfortunately didn't get a chance to get to the actual section where you can buy things or see stores or concerts or anything. I've heard musicians have held performances on this. Very interesting.

I was interested in it but all it seems to do is crash on my laptop, so it wasn't worth my time.

I hear that a lot of IRL businesses are buying a lot of land in game, it's pretty interesting.

When I signed up I had a chance to get some free money for signing up for permission for them to charge you should you buy something in game.
