This white paper gives OEM and ODM customers true network-level benchmarking results for an IPsec VPN application, based upon SafeNet's unique capability to provide a fully integrated and optimized hardware/software solution to these customers. The benchmarking results show that the SafeXcel-1842 hardware accelerator increases network-level throughput up to a factor of five over a software-only IPsec implementation, reaching (and being limited by) network wire speed.
