The arrest of 25 yr-old computer engineer Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan has led to the discovery of what officials are calling an information “treasure trove” that led to the current terror warnings for the NYC financial area.
Officals say the Pakistani computer geek helped to run a secret Al Queada information network that encoded and disseminated messages. Al Queada operatives had studied and reported on financial and other buildings in the NY area even before 9/11.
Information was sent via courier from senior Al Queada officials in isolated areas in Pakistan to hard-line religious schools, and then passed to Khan who would then relay the info over the Internet via website and e-mail.
