The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) filed some 532 additional suits against computer users who swap music illegally over the Internet. This the most amount of suits filed simultaneously by the RIAA.

Those being sued by the Association are identified only by their IP addresses and have been dubbed as "John Doe" defendants. The RIAA has said that each user shares an average of 800 files each online.

RIAA's president, Cary Sherman told press that "Our campaign against illegal file sharers is not missing a beat. The message to illegal file sharers should be as clear as ever."
