Microsoft is set to meet U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly as part of an effort to show the company has complied with the October 2002 Antitrust settlement. To satisfy the judge, Microsoft is now altering its "Shop for Music Online" feature.

This feature consists of a link which directs consumers to a Microsoft web site called windowsmedia.com where users can purchase CDs. The function will not allow users to use browsers other than Internet Explorer.

According to the antitrust settlement, Microsoft can only require users to use only its software if competitors' software "fails to implement a reasonable technical requirement." They will update the XP OS this Feb. or March to change this feature.
