Google is fixing a glitch in its Gmail email system which was allowing users one terabyte of storage for emails. The company calls it a "bug."
As reported here on UGN, Gmail was started to offer users a gigabyte of storage space so Google could woo people away from services like Yahoo email and Hotmail. Yahoo is offering 100MB storage space and "virtually unlimited" space to those who pay.
A terabyte is a thousand times what a gigabyte is and is comparable to the space it would take to run DVD movies for 16 days.
