The Microsoft Corp. has found a flaw in its server software which could cause major headaches for small end customers. The flaw is in the SharePoint software and will affect those who installed it after the 24th of November.
SharePoint builds an intranet for a company and is part of the Small Business Server 2003 package. The flaw was discovered last week, and MS sent out an article to a newsgroup detailing the problem, as well as posting it on its website.
On Monday, the company posted more prominent links regarding the flaw on its website. The flaw does not allow SharePoint to be installed properly. Microsoft has said that an update to fix the problem will be released "in the next several days."
