What this means for you all is that you'll get the chance to play with the next generation of Bulletin Board system's from Infopop...

Our BBS will be upgraded to the new platform as soon as it's released.

What this means is that all of the addon's that we've installed will be gone (at least until they can be adapted to the new system and the beta period is finalized.

The upside is, a large chunk of the modifications we have installed are standard features of the new forum software!

Any news on when you are going to install the beta?

well, we should have access to the pre-private beta sites within the month, so we're looking at late Feb-Early March...

It doesn't look like we're going to have much "beta time" as Ted at Infopop announced the completion date of March 23rd.

This is fast...let's hope it's good.

yeh, 3 years of bitching that we wanted something better in classic then when they start getting it :BOOM: we're integrating lol... I <3 infopop, no one else I'd trust heh

I just hope the new product won't be as buggy as the recent UBBThreads versions. It took Infopop 5 months to release the bug update of 6.5, 6.51 , and it's still having quite some issues.

A few days the relaesed a small security update 6.511, but still no trace of the 6.52 release which would fix the issues introduced with 6.51.

Not that we can state due to our NDA; I'm sure InfoPop will make an anouncement as soon as the pub beta starts (at last we'll be posting when we have our pub beta up).

FTP access logs indicate some small activity in the /test/ section of the Beta Site over the last few days; perhaps an announcement may spring up about something tastey soon?

Blaime Infopop ... We DID have a threads beta up; but I didn't want to be a part of that so it was nuked. There was also a few test scripts up (and they still are a couple).

And how was the new version?

Was never really a threads fan, was the same old crap imho

Neither... We're still in the beta programme, we're just choosing not to partake in the .Threads beta.

I was interested in that new product that is going to replace both classic and threads. I thought you were a beta tester for this NEW product?

We are a beta tester for NG; as NG has yet to be released it's obvious we're not yet given a beta... They gave us something that we used but it sures hell wasn't NG
