That having been said, I say we sell the UnderGroundNews.com domain to Slashdot for seven thousand dollars, and split the bounty between staff.

We then continue going to UnderGroundNews by typing in the address manually http://66.227.6.242 , in the end it will make all the current UGN members feel very elite somehow.

Just one problem.... Gizmo owns it.


However UGN should be a 1337 site now. Hackers.com is gone. Webmonkey is gone. Many older site are dieing. UGN still lives and the longer we are here the more credit we will have.


I think we should make more to do about how long this place has been around. Not too many sites can say that.

Yeh UGN still lives and I don't plan on selling for any less than $20,000; although I'll take any serious offers for more than it ...

$20,000; eek! think you'll get it? dude like i dunno you need to get way more people here that post not just sign up, post once, leave. start giving out email address so when people sign up they can get one if they wish? dont sell to slashdot! as leet as they are~ i remember back when i was in school a couple of years ago UGN was pimp. there was more then 9 major people posting and replying to there posts. yes yes i know i suck arse and shouldnt be saying any of this but meh.

you havent made $5000 back yet? whoa! or is there a zero missing? i thought you would have way made that. geez louise - i say major spam! and then say nah that wasnt us that was some person who thought th......RUN! my room mate person has a site kesshou.org and we have been pondering how to get more members and stuff the forums arnt complete fully yet and its around Linux. but yeah, UnderGroundNews.com.au is available and i was gonna reg it and just redirect it to here, if you wanted? but meh~ and ask thebroken.org if on there next clip they make ask them to say something about this site cuase some people must dl the broken? and me and my friends are making something like that and we will do subliminal messaging for you heh. also send me a logo of ugn to [email protected] and i may know some site who will advitise it....just do it...

Nope, we made about $1500 back; well short of the $5000 total lol... No one shows support anymore, they just stop by, read, get help, and leave; it's pretty depressing.

You're more than welcome to forward any UnderGroundNews.* domains here; we own the ip address (it's piggy backed of the ns server) so just forward the a record to it and it'll resolve.

I would support this site, but there's that little problem of having the money to give away.. I have a banner on my website for UGN tho :p

uh, Giz, some stuff for ppl to buy, like I got my help at UnderGroundNews.com posters, stickers, and bumper stickers, with more then just representation of ugn, would be REAL good right now. Esp just before defcon/summer. Um, also a paypal link valid, and in sight of viewers. Would be damn good. Know why I say this?

Instead of donating like 10-15 for your account stuff as just a present, and other things I've done with money. I'd invest it in ugn when you wanted. I'd also when I had the dough donate to that fund.

Along with a small cafepress 100x100 like banner for the ugn store, or...where ever the ugn store happens to be. There's tons more ways to make that back, and have money to expand ugn. Imagine having a ugn fund with a lot? Giz spending bits of that at times to fund ugn events, or sitewide ideas? People would serious drool, and hump their pc over that am I right? Imo I think so.

But real Jay, if you do that, I'm sure others will say when I have the cash at some different times, even donating $1-$5 at times, will help, it will add up. I also think about ugn games in the future, site, and board software upgrades. voting on site stuff with like a chest for ugn, after you get your money back or with a small portion of it to start OR whatever:D

I just think people know they can give little once in a while, and in amounts that adds up. It also picks up quite a bit at times:| just an idea from a simple spirit in these parts.
