I have a DVR project (and others) lined up (specs and all to be published on completion) but I want to attempt to use some semi modern parts that require funding (such as the tv tuner with on card mpeg encoding). Some more tidbits on the DVR project; It'll function a a cluster...
Main Server is what is plugged into the satelite and a gigabit switch with Cat6 cabling to the switch; it'll record shows on a schedual.
Other machines placed around the house (don't have to be terribly fast) will be networked in and using linking software to retrieve feeds through the main server...
