So my question is, are there similar or more hardcore animes out there? I am a big fan of obscenely large and disturbing demons, anything gothic/vampiric, and quick involved fighting scenes. In my opinion it requires an eclectic taste for anime. There's a lot of sliding still battle scene shots (vintage japanese style) and the series is in english-captioned japanese. It's biggest strength is the highly complex and difficult to follow plot. It's a series. Definately big bad demons, and while there are some chicks, the series isn't about the sensuality. All the major fighters are guys. Although a couple chicks have some decent skills. Music is pretty cool too.
