Okay, Giz keeps going on about RSS and all. I know I could/should Google but this section needs some discusion anyway. I know it is an XML feed, but how does it work across the net to the browser/client? How is it formated? I have heard about security issues if done wrong.

There is no security issues of RSS, it's just a feed of news/data for users to syndicate at a 3rd party location...

Basically you can allow users to use FireFox or another piece of software to syndicate your news "offsite" as well as allow "affiliates" to list your news.

One of my ideas for news syndication through user request was a "news scroller" which reads from an RSS feed and outputs the data which numerous news sites do now adays (though they don't use an RSS resource which would be incredibly easy to impliment).

Some programs that use RSS feeds:
FireFox
KlipFolio

Also, you can syndicate news on websites as well, I use an RSS feed on my homepage so that I can check a good chunk of sites at once...

Do we need anymore information/
