Im having a problem compiling with SuSE. Since it uses the /opt directory, unlike most distros, during compilation it says certian files are not found that I KNOW are on my system. Would it work to solve this if a created a black file with the same name linked to the correct file path in the directory that it does look into for these files?

Arr... Well I would try that first, that might help you to understand what the problem is. Yet, if something like that occurs, it is not normal. So if that doesn't work, contact SuSe techies. What version do you (is it latest, same for kernel?).
