i was wondering whether its worth getting a ps2 with the linux kit. ur thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated..

Def linux on ps2, it's a go for. It can do what a PC can do with *nux basically.

dude definetely get the linux mod, i'm thinkin of doin it myself wink .. i need someone to get the mod and tell me what parts there are so i can make my own and write a "Mod your PSX *nix capable" heh..

to answer my own question, for the whole package (This kit will include a Linux distribution on DVD that runs on the PS2 hardware, additional software, documentation, a 40GB hard drive, an Ethernet adapter, a USB mouse, a USB keyboard, and a computer monitor cable) it will cost $200, not bad i say, and it came out May 22, 2002, for anyone who wants anymore info on it theres a community set up for it at HERE <img border="0" alt="[Thumb]" title="" src="graemlins/thumb.gif" />

Only problem is that I see that you can't use the HD with the linux games. I might just skip on this and go for the network adapter and Madden 2003 smile
