Reverend Kyle Lake, 33, was performing a baptism at University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. While reaching for a microphone, he was electrocuted.
There were over 800 people in attendance at the service. Jamie Dudley, a business administrator at the church said: "He was grabbing the microphone so everyone could hear," she said. "It's the only way you can be loud enough."
Lake was a pastor at the church for 7 years. He was pronounced dead at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. The woman being baptized had not stepped into the water yet.
