Ok I am a newbie ive tried to look on google fo rthe info but cant realy find it out....my friend made a board on invision free to hack nothing special just a BBS he made for me to hack...but the problem is I cant find any tutorials or working tools to show me how to go about doing this...so anyhelp or a push in the right direction would be well appreciated...oh and very nice board...good job

you do not want to learn, you want a tutorial and scripts so you can look cool. I will tell you this, learn to build your own board, then you will have a start at learning how to unbuild one.

No, you specifically stated that you wanted us to give you hacking tutorials and show you how to break into a bulletin board.. This site isn't made for teaching random idiots how to exploit bulletin boards.

Spyrios...got beef with Indiana? Infamous, you kinda came to the wrong place with your question. You have to learn what "hacking" is before you go about it.

Not really beef, I just grew up in Illinois watching those cheesy Indiana Beach commercials.

Well since no one else is going to give you any real help here. Ill give you a couple of ideas.

The first thing to do would be to get a copy of that bulletin board he uses and learn how it works. This way you learn where the passwords are stored, how authentication is done, etc.

Now a bulletin board system like invision is probably highly scrutinized, because it's popular and because the writers are paid and can dedicate thier time to it. I highly doubt there will be any known vulnerabilities unless your 'friend' purposely left an opening for you to exploit.

You might want to try a cgi scanner like whisker by rainforestpuppy or just do a simple google search cross refrencing the version number of the bulletin board with the word "exploit" or "vulnerability". I highly doubt you will find anything more that some cross site scripting vulnerabilities.
