The world's fastest computer was announced at the WWDC today. That's Apple's developer conference, where they talk about programming and stuff, but more importantly, he gives a presentation on all the cool new [censored] Apple has for the year. Among the many announcements is the G5 Powermac, which basically blows the hell outta anything anybody here owns.
It's the first 64 bit personal computer. It can have 8 gigs of RAM, up from the max of 4 gigs. And the motherboards actually support that. The processor has a 1 Ghz FSB. It has 8x AGP now. It's a [censored] beast.
