Well, I know everyone gets spammed, so out of sheer curiosity and boredom I'm going to start posting how much spam I get month to month. Please feel free to join in. I'll be editing this original message each month.
Please note that I'm using ChoiceMail ONE 2.66 (Orignally using 1.6) to log my spam from month to month. Their latest version does things a whole lot better but I don't have the funds for an upgrade.
February 2004: 11715 (98%)

April 2004: 13262 (99%)

It's true, catch-all aliases are worthless...

Still going down (19584 / 2 = 9792); odd enough; usually it tends to go up...
I however discovered lately that there was a catchall alias for undergroundnews.com; i disabled it a few nights ago and it should help a bit.
Also; conley you need to check your mail, it's like 6mb lol
Hm.. spam in the last year....... none. At least in my real account. The one I use for signing up for things is horrible..
I just don't get any spam, no one seems to send me anything...
No one loves you? No one has the address? That or your ISP is quite good at spam filtering...
gizmo counting spam...thers gotta be a whole hella lot of boredom to start doing that. oh yeah, post number 67 im on my way!
List updated, note that I'm now using ChoiceMail One 2.66 (from 1.6)
i've been getting a shitload of spam for chinese people. Everyday i think i get at least 20 e-mails that are in chinese addressed to my undergroundnews e-mail.
Bastards... there like cockroaches, u block one, 10 more send you e-mail.
Lol, this is why you don't publicly give out your email address
Ya, i learned that the hard way lol

Owell, its not that bad, annoying at times, but it isnt that bad
I don't get any spam, my ISP is Blueyonder, and it filters loads, so I get no spamtastic problems at all!

Good for your ISP; I woudln't like that feature though due to the fact that some emails from some isp's get blacklisted that contain legit content... I prefer running my own spam guard so that i can ensure that my wife hasn't sent 5 emails to me within a 60 minute period and gotten blacklisted by my ISP for spam...
I'm on hotmail and I get about 1 bit of spam a week, it grand, just delete it, plus hotmail does a virus check, i use it with Thunderbird so i just clear my inbox out into a local folder, unless i want to keep a mail for when i'm on the move
Well, i haven't posted one of these in a bit...
Since 01/03/2005:
92% Spam, 15015 Messages
That's roughly 10 months, so we have (15015 / 10) roughly 1501 messages per month which is also roughly 53 messages a day
I run my own mail server hosting about 80 some domains and about 20 users per domain, some less, some more. None of my users complain about spam or viruses. I use clamav and spamassassin to filter the mail and it works beautifully.
We had SpamAssassin on the old machine; drak said he'd install it and set it up for me but i do all of my own filtering locally so it's not much of a bother; kind of interesting as my email address isn't listed anywhere anymore lol..
https://www.safe-mail.net It helps and I find them ok. No ads.
Signing up for "yet another email account" isn't the answer, in fact, it's far from a real resolve...
And 3mb is just a joke, comeon, I can get upwards of 3-4gigs with normal freemail providers now adays...
I just found out that ThunderBird allows you to list various identities to send mail from (ok so I wasn't bored before, at least enough to dig around and find various options) so I've moved ALL of my email addresses over to my spam filter... Now every piece of mail sent to me is routed through my spam filter lol...
I did some hardcore updating to my spam rules based on spam that's gotten through in the last few months (theres a bunch too lol).
I haven't updated my spam list in a while, so here you go...
Since 09/23/2005:
Total Spam: 98%, 101,536 messages.
Legit Messages: 2%, 2225 messages.
That's approximately 15 months, so 101536/15, that's ~6769 messages per month, or an average of ~223 spam messages per day (with an average of 30.42 days per month).
