i currently use aol and they suspended the account becuase i had sent an innapropriate email but how would they know this without reading the mail I was sending.
They know all and see all. And yes, they do have the right.
Users can report mail; so if you sent an inappropriate message and someone sent a report to AOL they can terminate your account
wow, thats retarted. Send out 1 bad e-mail, get reported and boom, suspended.. Damn AOL..
Use PGP encrytion if ur worried people are spying on u
It's actually standard with most ISP's, it falls under a ToS violation for harassment/spam
Ya but comon, 1 e-mail ? If thats the case, i think its ridiculus, there should be some sort of warning first.
But i guess ur right, if he did it before, guess they had a right to deactivate his account.
It's defined in your ToS agreement with any ISP; if they find you in violation it's to their discression weather or not you still hold your account heh... Mainly depends on the severity of the issues at hand
next time i agree to those damn statements, wouldnt hurt reading it lol
That would be an interesting poll, I don't think i've ever read one,lol
the email was actually to someone who was spamming me so i sent them a little message
