http://serialcoders.sytes.net is redirected to pergs website where it tells you that the site is temporarily down due to moving.
Comcast says they'll connect the cable connection at the new location sunday morning.
Since there is no official IRC host since Gizmo is prefectly willing to let you guys suffer for a couple days, feel free to post your own suggestions for IRC chatting. I'm sure Infinite would like to post the domain or IP of his IRC server, or whoever else may do the same or suggest a channel on a public server.
So if you think YOU'RE bad off not having a IRC server, just think about poor me who has to live without internet for 48 whole hours! I may go through withdrawal, convulsions, or even DIE!
I do have an irc server up and running. I use it mostly for working on that perl client I been messing around with. However, since I am an IRC addict, and I kow some others are too, I have opened it up if anyone cares to stop by. This is totally unofficial and is a very temporary thing. But if you are interested, connect to 68.144.16.83:6667 and join the idling :p
And another option is the channel on dalnet. It's still a pretty sketchy network, but We do have a registered channel over there.

SilentRage has returned from his relocation hiatus and has the UGN IRC online again. At the present time only SR's domain is pointing to him, Serialcoders.sytes.net. Irc.undergroundnews.com/net/org haven't caught up yet, but will be there soon. So everyone is welcome to rejoin the IRC and commence our traditional idling orgy.

He was back online for about two days, but then he dropped offline again. That was over a week ago now. No idea what happened or where he went. FYI my server is still up and running if anyone wants to come and hang...

Ti Fox, their all trusted staff, becides, our only "real" connection is the site, the IRC was always hosted on cable/dsl lines since I took over.

Ti Fox, if you look at it, the IRC has ALWAYS been on either a Cable/DSL connection; Beard hosted it on his home DSL connection.

I've been without internet for a long [censored] time. All hell is breaking loose over here. First my internet drops at the new location for no reason that I can tell. Then the apartment lease that we was trying to break came back to haunt us so we ended up moving back to where I came from. Then my roommate decides that we should repaint the entire damn apartment. So between moving twice, painting, and broke [censored] internet connections and setting things up, I've been MIA.
So yeah, the moving process is done, the painting is mostly done, the internet is back into working order. Now to finish setting up. My room happens to be the last room to get in order so my computer/irc-server is not yet setup. serialcoders.sytes.net is still pointing at the wrong comcast IP. Expect everything to be back to stability within a few days.

haaaaaaaaaaahahaha... Maybe that's it. The number that my staff application says has been forwarded to my roommate's cell phone number. The other day my roommate told me that some dude was calling for me and he sounded high. I had no idea who it could've been. Probably Crime or somebody from UGN.
